| Structural Feature | Flanged floating ball valve adopts integral cast steel body and classic floating ball core structure with standard double-flange connection design. The ball core is freely suspended inside the valve body without upper and lower fixed trunnions, featuring active pressure self-tightening sealing principle. Under medium pressure, the floating ball slightly displaces and presses tightly against the downstream seat to achieve reliable zero-leakage shutoff. Higher pressure delivers tighter sealing performance. Full bore and reduced bore optional, forming straight-through low-resistance flow channel. Equipped with blow-out proof stem, built-in anti-static device and API 607 fire-safe auxiliary graphite sealing structure. Standard flanged structure enables independent rigid pipeline connection, easy installation and maintenance, suitable for medium and low pressure industrial pipeline cut-off and flow regulation. |

Features
Different from trunnion fixed ball valves, the floating ball core has free displacement margin. Medium pressure pushes the ball to compress the sealing seat actively, realizing automatic sealing compensation. The sealing effect improves synchronously with pressure rise, effectively solving poor sealing under low-pressure conditions. It achieves bidirectional bubble-tight zero leakage, adapting to frequent pressure fluctuation working conditions and ensuring long-term stable sealing performance.
Both ends adopt ANSI B16.5 standard flange structure, perfectly matching international standard pipeline flanges, gaskets and bolts. The integral double-flange casting enhances overall pipeline rigidity, effectively resisting pipeline vibration, thermal stress and pressure impact. Compared with wafer and threaded valves, flanged connection supports independent installation and disassembly without cutting pipelines, greatly simplifying on-site maintenance and replacement operations.
High-performance soft sealing materials such as PTFE and RPTFE provide ultra-tight zero leakage for normal-temperature clean media with low operating torque. Upgraded metal hard sealing structure adapts to high-temperature steam, high-pressure oil gas and fine particle-containing scouring media, avoiding soft seal aging, deformation and failure under harsh conditions. Dual sealing configurations fully cover conventional and severe service working conditions.
Built-in anti-static device conducts static electricity generated by friction between ball core and seat, eliminating explosion risks of flammable media such as natural gas and crude oil. API 607 fire-safe structure adopts graphite emergency sealing; when soft seal fails under high-temperature fire, it can still maintain effective shutoff to prevent medium leakage and fire spreading. Blow-out proof stem structure prevents stem ejection under extreme pressure, ensuring overall pipeline operation safety.
Full-bore design realizes straight-through pipeline with almost no flow resistance, maximizing medium transmission efficiency and reducing system energy consumption. Reduced-bore type features compact structure and cost advantage for general flow control scenarios. Simple floating ball mechanical structure with low operating torque reduces actuator matching cost. Standard modular structure facilitates quick inspection and parts replacement, lowering long-term operation and maintenance costs.

Working Principle & Application Notes
Flanged floating ball valve drives the floating ball core to rotate 90 degrees through manual handle or automatic actuator to realize pipeline opening and closing. When the ball through-hole is parallel to the pipeline, the valve is fully open for smooth medium circulation; when rotated 90 degrees, the solid spherical surface completely blocks the flow channel. Medium pressure pushes the floating ball to compress the seat for self-tightening zero-leakage shutoff. Floating ball structure is suitable for DN15-DN600 medium and low pressure pipelines; large-diameter and Class900/1500 ultra-high pressure working conditions require trunnion ball valve selection. Soft seal is not applicable for high-temperature and impurity-containing scouring media. Confirm bore type, pressure class, sealing form and material grade before ordering.
