Features
Swing check valve adopts standard full-bore straight-through flow channel without flow dead zone. The swing disc can be fully opened under forward medium flow, offering extremely low pressure loss and maximum flow capacity. Compared with lift-type check valves, it is more suitable for large-flow continuous circulation working conditions and long-distance fluid transmission pipelines, effectively improving pipeline transmission efficiency.
Different from spring-assisted check valves, ANSI swing check valve relies entirely on medium thrust and disc self-weight to complete opening and closing actions. Without internal spring components, it avoids spring fatigue, aging and failure under high temperature and high pressure conditions, ensuring long-term stable operation for high-temperature steam and hot oil working conditions.
The sealing pair is made of high-strength metal hard seal, and the seat and disc surface can be overlaid with Stellite cobalt-based alloy upon request. It features excellent anti-scouring, wear resistance and high-temperature resistance. The renewable seat structure allows on-site replacement and maintenance without cutting pipelines, greatly reducing later operation and maintenance costs.
The hinge pin and rocker arm assembly are completely enclosed inside the valve cavity without penetrating the valve body, eliminating external leakage risks. The bolted bonnet structure facilitates internal inspection and component replacement. High-pressure grade valves adopt self-sealing bonnet structure, which automatically strengthens sealing force with medium pressure, adapting to severe high-pressure working conditions.
Multiple material configurations are optional: carbon steel for conventional water, oil and gas; stainless steel for weakly corrosive media; alloy steel for ultra-high temperature working conditions. NACE MR0175 anti-sulfur upgrade is available for H₂S-containing sour service. Complies with full ANSI/API international standards, fully matching overseas EPC project acceptance requirements.

Working Principle & Application Notes
Swing check valve is an automatic protection valve relying on medium flow force. Under normal forward flow, medium thrust pushes the swing disc to open and maintain pipeline circulation; when the flow stops or reverses, the disc closes rapidly by self-weight and backflow pressure to prevent medium backflow.Swing check valve is mainly designed for horizontal pipelines; vertical installation is only allowed for upward medium flow, reverse vertical installation is prohibited. Due to no spring buffering, it is not suitable for working conditions with severe water hammer and frequent rapid flow reversal. For strong impact and high-precision anti-backflow scenarios, silent lift check valve is recommended. All valves are strictly tested in accordance with API 598 to ensure zero leakage under rated pressure. Please confirm pressure class, end connection, material and medium parameters before ordering.
