Features

1. Bellows balance structure counteracts the effect of back-pressure, keeps stable set pressure even with variable superimposed back-pressure.
2. Isolates spring chamber from corrosive, toxic or dirty process medium, protects internal spring and guiding parts.
3. Hard-faced with Stellite 6 for nozzle and disc, excellent erosion resistance and tight sealing performance.
4. Adjustable nozzle ring for blow-down pressure adjustment to satisfy various process conditions.
5. Optional bonnet vent connection for bellows failure monitoring.
6. Manufactured in accordance with API 520 / API 526 standards, reliable reseating performance.
Core principle: The metal bellows isolates the spring chamber from the discharge side, eliminating the influence of back-pressure variation on the set pressure. Conventional safety valves suffer from set-pressure drift and abnormal re-seating under large fluctuating back-pressure in outlet pipelines, which can be solved by the balanced bellows relief valve.

Applications

Balanced bellows relief valve is designed for service with variable superimposed back-pressure. It also handles toxic and corrosive media. Applied for overpressure protection of pressure vessels, reactors and process piping. Typical service: flare system, fluctuating back-pressure discharge lines, corrosive chemical media, where process fluid shall be kept away from spring parts.
