Structural Feature Open bonnet with heat radiator structure, external manual operating lever, adjustable nozzle ring, Stellite hard-alloy overlay sealing pair. Outlet flange is larger than inlet flange for large-capacity steam discharge. Suitable for high-temperature boiler and power station steam system.
Suitable Media Saturated steam, superheated steam, air and other non-corrosive gaseous media. Widely used for power plant boiler, steam header, high-temperature pressure vessels and steam pipeline over-pressure protection.

 

Features

1.Open-Bonnet Radiator High-Temperature-Resistant Structure

Adopts open bonnet plus integrated radiator fin structure, effectively isolate high-temperature steam heat transfer to pressure spring. Prevent spring performance degradation caused by overheating, guarantee stable set-pressure performance under long-term superheated steam working environment, specially optimized for power station high-temperature steam condition.

2.Full-lift High-Capacity Discharge Performance

Standard full-lift structure with back-blow disc, lifting height ≥1/4 nozzle diameter. Instant full-opening once reaching set pressure, achieves large-capacity rapid relief. Adjustable nozzle ring can fine-tune blow-down value to meet different project technical requirements, fully comply with API 520 capacity calculation criteria.

3.External Manual Test Lever Device

Built-in external manual operating lever. When system pressure reaches above 75% of set pressure, onsite operator can perform manual lifting test to verify valve flexibility, avoid valve stuck caused by long-term standby. Convenient for regular inspection of boiler and power station safety accessories.

4.Stellite Hard-Alloy Overlay Sealing Pair

Nozzle and disc seating surface overlaid with Stellite hard alloy. Excellent high-temperature anti-erosion and wear-resistant property. Tightness performance meets API 527 seat-leakage standard, maintain reliable tight shut-off under high-temperature steam cyclic relief service, extend service cycle between maintenance.

5.Fully-Mechanical Automatic Operation

Pure spring-driven mechanical structure without external power supply. Set pressure can be precisely adjusted on-site. Automatically opens for over-pressure relief; reseats tightly when system pressure drops to qualified blow-down range. Stable performance, convenient for routine maintenance for power & petrochemical plants.

Working Principle & Application Notes

 

Safety valve for steam is API-compliant spring-loaded relief valve for high-temperature steam service. Open bonnet with radiator fin dissipates heat to protect spring assembly. Manual lever enables on-site functional test. Full-lift back-blow-disc realizes large-capacity rapid steam discharge. Temperature shall not exceed material temperature rating. Safety valve for steam is designed for steam & non-corrosive gas; not applicable for H₂S sour-service without NACE-qualified material upgrade. Customer shall provide set-pressure, operating temperature and steam flow-rate for correct sizing before order.
