Features
JY series safety decompression valve adopts pilot-control principle. System pressure is sensed by small pilot valve to drive opening-closing of large-flow main valve. Balanced piston structure greatly reduces the influence of outlet variable back-pressure on set-pressure and re-seating performance, solving the performance drift issue of ordinary spring-loaded safety valves under fluctuating back-pressure conditions.
High sealing performance can be maintained even very close to set pressure. Blow-down value can be adjusted within small range, medium loss is effectively reduced. Set-pressure repeatability ≤ ±1%, far superior to conventional direct-spring safety valves. Two sealing configurations: Stellite hard-alloy for high-temperature & abrasive media; soft-seat for strict zero-leakage requirements.
Pressure-sampling pipeline is equipped with integrated filter cartridge to avoid pilot-valve blockage caused by impurity particles in process medium. Pilot valve can be disassembled, calibrated or replaced without removing main valve from pipeline. Optional remote test port supports non-stop on-site functional inspection. Reduce system downtime and maintenance-cost for continuous-production plants.
Multiple body and trim material combinations are available to adapt to water, oil, gas and general corrosive fluid. Support flanged (ASME B16.5 / GB standard) and threaded NPT/BSP end connections. Can be configured with NACE MR0175 wetted components for sour-H₂S working conditions upon special order.
The whole set operates purely by medium pressure, without electricity or gas source. When system pressure exceeds set-pressure, pilot valve triggers main-valve full opening for large-capacity decompression. When pressure drops to reset value, main-valve reseats tightly automatically. Suitable for remote oil-gas field, skid-mount equipment and unattended operation sites.

Working Principle & Application Notes
Pilot operated safety relief valve is pilot-operated over-pressure protection equipment composed of pilot valve and main valve. Under normal operating pressure, pilot valve keeps closed; main-valve piston bears balanced pressure and maintains tight shut-off. When system pressure rises to set-pressure, pilot-valve opens to release pressure above main-valve piston, forming pressure-difference to force main-valve fully open for large-flow decompression. When pressure falls below reset value, pilot-valve reseats, pressure rebuilds above piston, main-valve closes tightly. Medium shall keep clean; filter cartridge needs regular inspection. For sour-service H₂S medium, NACE-qualified material option must be specified in advance.Pilot operated safety relief valve provide set-pressure, back-pressure condition, medium property and flow-rate for proper sizing before order.
