Structural Feature Lug triple offset butterfly valve adopts professional tapped lug connection structure and unique three-eccentric spatial geometric design. It completely eliminates disc-seat friction during full opening and closing strokes, realizing zero-wear operation. The conical metal sealing pair features automatic pressure self-tightening compensation, delivering stable bidirectional zero leakage under fluctuating pressure. Different from wafer and flanged types, the lug structure with integrated tapped bolt holes enables independent single-side installation, blind end isolation and free disassembly without full pipeline separation. Full metal hard-sealing structure resists high temperature, low temperature, high pressure and tiny particle scouring, free from soft seal aging and deformation failure. Compact rigid body ensures excellent structural stability for long-cycle continuous operation.
Suitable Media High-temperature superheated steam, thermal oil, flue gas, compressed air, natural gas, crude oil, industrial slurry with fine particles, cryogenic liquefied gas and weakly corrosive fluid. Widely applied in petrochemical process units, power plant high-pressure steam systems, metallurgical high-temperature pipelines, marine piping, cryogenic energy storage and industrial severe-service pipeline isolation projects.

 

Features

1.Professional Lug Tapped Connection, Flexible Installation

Equipped with integral precision tapped lug holes complying with ANSI B16.5 standard. It can be installed and fixed between two pipe flanges without full pipeline disassembly, supporting single-side independent fixation and blind end isolation. Compared with wafer type valves that require full flange clamping, lug type design allows quick valve replacement and pipeline maintenance, greatly improving construction efficiency. It is specially suitable for pipeline sections requiring frequent overhaul, temporary isolation and terminal blind plugging working conditions.

2.Zero-Friction Triple Offset Wear-Free Structure

The three-dimensional triple offset design separates the butterfly disc from the sealing seat at the initial opening stage, achieving zero contact and zero friction throughout the entire stroke. No abrasive wear on the metal sealing surface, thoroughly solving the short-service-life defect of traditional soft-seal and double-offset valves. The precision-machined conical sealing pair realizes gradual locking during closing, with uniform stress distribution and strong anti-pressure impact capability.

3.Bidirectional Zero-Leakage Metal Hard Sealing

Adopts all-metal hard sealing configuration with optional Stellite alloy hard surfacing treatment on the seat. With medium pressure increasing, the sealing pair generates automatic self-tightening compensation force, effectively offsetting thermal deformation and mechanical clearance. It achieves API 598 Class VI bidirectional zero leakage, stably maintaining excellent sealing performance under high temperature, high pressure and pressure fluctuation working conditions, far superior to ordinary soft-seal butterfly valves.

4.Ultra-Wide Temperature and Pressure Adaptability

Multiple material configurations cover cryogenic (-196℃) to high-temperature (500℃) working conditions. Carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steel bodies adapt to steam, oil-gas, corrosive and low-temperature liquefied media. The integral rigid lug structure enhances pipeline connection rigidity, resisting thermal expansion and contraction deformation, suitable for harsh and complex industrial continuous operating environments.

5.High Safety & Easy Maintenance

Lug structure supports unilateral pressure bearing and terminal isolation, effectively improving pipeline operation safety. The modular internal disc, shaft and sealing components are convenient for inspection and replacement. Zero-wear operation greatly reduces later maintenance frequency and replacement cost, realizing long-term stable maintenance-free operation of industrial pipeline systems.

Working Principle & Application Notes

 

Lug triple offset butterfly valve relies on worm gear or electric/pneumatic actuator to drive 90° rotation of the butterfly disc. The unique triple offset geometric structure ensures zero-friction operation during opening and closing. When fully closed, the conical metal sealing pair is tightly locked with self-tightening compensation to block medium flow and realize bidirectional zero leakage; when fully opened, the streamlined disc forms a low-resistance straight-through flow channel.Lug type structure is dedicated for flange-clamped installation, supporting unilateral fixation and blind end isolation; not applicable for butt welding connection. Stellite hard surfacing is recommended for particle-containing and high-scouring media; low-temperature working conditions require LCB cryogenic steel configuration. Please confirm ANSI pressure class, material grade and actuation mode before ordering.
